Vinted Pro: what changes for your listings
Vinted Pro is free, but it changes your returns, your listings and your tax duties. Here is what UK sellers need to know before they register.
Short answer
Editing a listing doesn't create a new listing or reset its upload time. It can improve the photos, title, price and details that Vinted uses, but Vinted publishes no rule that promises a rise. A Bump or Showcase buys visibility and keeps the listing history. A relist creates a new upload date and loses the old views and favourites.
If you want to know how to get more views on Vinted, start with the honest answer. Editing a listing doesn’t bump it back to the top. It keeps the same listing, the same upload date and the same views.
That doesn’t make editing useless. It means editing is a quality lever, not a visibility switch. Vinted uses the photos, title, price, category and description when it ranks listings. A clearer listing can earn more clicks and favourites, and those interactions can help it later.
This guide separates the three things sellers mix up. You can improve a listing, pay Vinted for visibility, or relist the item. Each one costs something different, and one of them can hurt your account if you repeat it.
Most sellers call it the Vinted algorithm. Vinted describes it as a set of recommender systems, and it publishes the parameters those systems use.
That list is the best starting point because it comes from the platform, not from a forum tip. Vinted says the biggest factors are the filters a buyer applies and the filters the system applies, such as items available in the buyer’s country.
The other parameters cover the listing itself and how buyers react to it:
Vinted also says promoted content, including new listings and paid promotions, gets increased visibility.
That last point explains most of the confusion. A new listing gets a push because it’s new. A paid promotion gets a push because it’s paid. An edit gets neither.
Editing a listing doesn’t change the upload time, because the listing is still the same listing.
No, not automatically. When you edit a listing on Vinted, you keep the same listing page. The upload date doesn’t restart.
Views and favourites stay where they are. People who saved the item don’t lose it.
What editing can change is the quality of the inputs. These are the attributes Vinted says it uses:
Better inputs can earn more clicks and favourites, and Vinted lists these attributes among its parameters.
The effect is indirect. Better inputs can lead to more clicks, more favourites and a better chance of a sale. They don’t force a rise.
If you change one comma in the description, nothing happens. If you replace a dark photo with a clear one, something can happen.
There are five options, and they aren’t equal.
| Action | What it does | Cost | When it fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Improve the photos, title and description | Better relevance and a better click rate | Free, but it takes time | The listing is unclear or badly presented |
| Lower the price | Price is a stated parameter, and a lower price attracts more buyers | Free, but it cuts your margin | The item is priced above the market |
| Buy a Bump | Vinted says the item appears higher in newsfeeds and search results for 3 or 7 days | Paid, price shown at checkout | The item has interest but isn’t selling |
| Buy Showcase | Highlights up to 15 listings for 7 days | Paid, price shown at checkout | The whole wardrobe is quiet |
| Relist the item | Creates a new listing with a new upload date | Free, but you lose the views and favourites | The item is old and has little interest |
The order matters. A listing with dark photos and an empty title doesn’t sell better after a Bump. Fix the content first.
Pay for visibility only when the item deserves it. If you sell as a business, check our Vinted Pro guide before you relist at volume.
You can edit an active or hidden listing in the app or on the website. The fields are the ones from the upload form: photos, title, description, category, brand, size, condition and price.
The listing stays the same. It doesn’t get a new page, and the view count doesn’t reset. That makes editing the right move when you want more views on Vinted for an item that’s good but badly presented. It’s the wrong move when the item is simply old and nobody is searching for it.
Three rules help. Change one thing at a time, so you can tell what worked. Fix the blocking issue first, such as a blurry first photo or a missing size.
Then leave the listing alone for a while. Editing every day doesn’t create a fresh signal, because Vinted publishes no rule that rewards it.
Price is one of the parameters Vinted names. A price that sits above comparable listings reduces interest, even when the photos are good.
Set your floor before you cut. A price that drops below your floor to chase views is a sale you’ll regret. If an item has favourites but no sale, the block is price, not visibility. If an item has no interest at all, a small cut won’t create demand when the price is already at market level.
A Bump is Vinted’s paid service for one listing. It’s one way to get more views on Vinted without starting the listing again.
Vinted says the item appears higher in newsfeeds and search results for 3 or 7 consecutive days, depending on the duration you buy, or until it sells. The Bump doesn’t create a new listing. It keeps the listing and its history.
A few rules matter. You can run one Bump on an item at a time. You can’t move a Bump to another item or another member. The price is shown at payment.
You can lower the price during a Bump, but you can’t raise it, and the Bump cost doesn’t change. Vinted doesn’t refund a Bump if the listing is removed for breaking the rules.
Showcase is the wider option. It highlights up to 15 listings for 7 consecutive days. You need at least 5 items listed to buy it. It’s a single use service and can’t be transferred.
Vinted shows the price at checkout, and the amount depends on how many listings you have and their value.
Both services buy visibility, not a sale. If you’re choosing between a relist, a Bump and Showcase, our guide to relisting versus boosting compares them side by side.
A relist creates a new listing for the same item and removes the old one. The new listing gets a new upload date. That’s the only action in this guide that changes the time Vinted uses.
The cost is the history. Views and favourites stay on the old listing and don’t move. If the item already has attention, you lose the strongest signal you have. For an old item with almost no interest, that trade can make sense.
There’s a rules cost too. Vinted’s Terms say you must not delete and relist the same item multiple times, or relist many items in bulk. A relist is a decision for a stale item, not a button to press every week.
For the full procedure, read our guide to relisting on Vinted without losing the listing. For timing, our guide to how often to relist covers the cadence.
When the edit option is missing, check the listing status first.
The listing is still being checked. Vinted says a newly uploaded item may go through an automated check. It usually takes up to 1 minute, but it can take up to 3 or 4 days. Wait for the check to finish instead of uploading a duplicate.
The item sold and the transaction is still open. Vinted lets you delete a sold listing once the transaction is fully completed. It keeps some data for up to 6 months after deletion. Let the transaction finish.
The listing is hidden. A hidden listing doesn’t appear in the feed, the catalogue or your profile, but you can still edit it. Open your hidden listings and choose edit, or unhide it if you want it back.
The app is the problem. Update the app, try the website, log in again and check your connection. If the option is still missing on a live, unsold listing, contact Vinted support with the listing link. Don’t delete the listing out of impatience.
Editing every day to refresh the listing. Vinted publishes no rule that rewards a daily edit. Changing the same listing without improving the content adds no new signal.
Deleting and reposting in a loop. This creates a new date, but it throws away views and favourites. It also matches the pattern the Terms warn about.
Using an unauthorised tool. The Terms restrict external software such as bots and scraping programs unless Vinted allows them. A tool that promises guaranteed rises is selling a promise, not a method.
Stuffing the title with unrelated words. Relevance matters in search. A misleading title earns clicks that don’t convert, or a report.
Copying photos from another listing. The Catalogue Rules don’t allow it, and it doesn’t make your listing more relevant.
The short answer to how to get more views on Vinted is to fix the listing before you pay for reach. Use the item’s engagement as the first filter.
Relisto is a Chrome extension for Vinted sellers. It doesn’t sell visibility and doesn’t promise more views. It handles the relist side of the decision: back up the listing, create the new one, check that it’s live, then remove the old one.
Relisto also supports scheduled relists and price rules that keep a floor and a ceiling. If Vinted shows a verification request, the queue stops instead of working around it. Bumps and Showcase are separate paid services, bought from Vinted.
You can see the full workflow on the features page and the plans on the pricing page. If you’re still deciding whether a relist is the right move, read our guide to relisting on Vinted first.
No, not automatically. Editing keeps the same listing, the same upload date and the same views. It can improve the photos, title, description, category and price, which are inputs Vinted uses. Vinted publishes no rule that promises a rise after an edit, so a better listing can help without guaranteeing anything.
Only for an old item with little interest. A relist creates a new listing and a new upload date, but the views and favourites stay on the old listing. Vinted's Terms also say you must not delete and relist the same item multiple times, or relist many items in bulk. Keep the volume low and treat it as a decision, not a routine.
Vinted says a bumped item appears higher in member newsfeeds and search results for 3 or 7 consecutive days, depending on the duration you buy, or until it sells. It keeps the listing and its history. You can run one Bump on an item at a time, and the price is shown at checkout.
Check the listing status first. A new listing may still be going through an automated check. A sold listing can be deleted only after the transaction is complete. A hidden listing can still be edited. If the option is missing on a live, unsold listing, update the app and try the website before you contact support.
No. Relisto doesn't sell visibility and doesn't promise more views. It handles the relist side of the decision: back up the listing, create the new one, check that it's live, then remove the old one. Bumps and Showcase are Vinted's own paid services, bought from Vinted.
